Welcome to the Altum Institute
The Altum Institute, as the formational of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, seeks to form the whole disciple in an integrated way such that the Gospel is internalized and is evident in their orientation toward evangelization.
It seeks to accomplish this through the establishment of Five Distinct Schools and an Online Academy.
The School of Theology is for those pursuing a degree in Theology either in English or Spanish or those who are in formation for the Permanent Diaconate
The School of Spiritual Direction is for those who are candidates to be Spiritual Directors in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City as well as those currently serving as Spiritual Directors.
The School of Catechesis is for all Catechists, either as Parish Catechists or as teachers in our Catholic Schools or those desiring a deeper understanding our the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The School of Ministry is for all those who serve in some sort of ministerial capacity, either in the parish or for the Archdiocese.
The School of Discipleship if for any and of the lay faithful in the Archdiocese or those outside the faith seeking Truth in the fullness of the Catholic Church.
Finally, the Online Academy allows the Altum Institute to extend the offerings of these five Schools outside the OKC Metro and develop communities for communication and collaboration in Ministry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Although we love our Patron Bl. Stanley Rother dearly, there was substantial confusion between the Blessed Stanley Rother Institute, The Shrine and The Blessed Stanley Rother Hispanic Institute in Norman. With this confusion, it was difficult to establish a known identity for the Institute and therefore, the Archdiocese has chosen to furl in the old name and establish the Altum Institute. With this name change comes a change in direction as well. See above for more details.
No. The Altum Institute serves as the formational arm of the Archdiocese with a preference of In-Person formation. However, given the geography of our Archdiocese and the needs of the faithful, it seemed good and necessary to create online formation options to provide formation to those outside the OKC Metropolis and those unable to join us in person.
