Summer Internship Program

Come and See

The Altum Institute, the formation arm of the Church within the Department of Evangelization and Catechesis at the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, invites college juniors and seniors to apply for its Summer Internship Program. Designed for students with a passion for education, theology, philosophy, and ministry, this immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to participate in the life and mission of the Church at a formative level.

Running from early June through the end of July, this paid internship provides both hands-on ministry experience and intentional intellectual and spiritual formation. Interns will collaborate with Institute staff in developing and supporting formation initiatives, engaging in catechetical programming, and contributing to the broader evangelizing mission of the Archdiocese.

In addition to practical experience, interns will participate in structured formation that integrates faith and reason, drawing from the rich intellectual tradition of the Church. This includes guided discussions, mentorship, and opportunities to deepen one’s understanding of the Catholic vision of human formation and discipleship.

Housing is provided for the duration of the program, fostering a communal environment where interns can grow together in friendship, prayer, and shared mission.

This internship is ideal for students discerning future work in ministry, education, or further academic study, and for those who desire to serve the Church while being formed more deeply in truth, goodness, and beauty.
