What are my options?

The Altum Institute at the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City offers the opportunity to study Theology through Anáhuac University in Mexico City. Anáhuac University provides a curriculum as follows:

The programs ideally lasts 5 years and includes a total of 31 courses. The theological approach is Catholic, faithful to the Magisterium and ecclesiastical tradition.

Modality: Virtual classroom

All classes are conducted live through online sessions (we use the Zoom platform), allowing  students to balance their studies with pastoral, family, work, or personal commitments.

Ideally, students take 2 to 4 courses per quarter. Each course includes one class per week, lasting an hour and a half. The quarter lasts 13 week, plus one week for final evaluations.

Frequendly Asked Questions

Do I need to have a undergraduate degree already to enter this program?

To enroll in the program, you need to have a high school diploma or a GED (General Educational Development test, equivalent to a high school diploma).

Can I attend classes remotely?

Classes will be transmitted via Zoom. On Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00pm, they will take place at the Catholic Pastoral Center. Each class will be recorder, but it is important for you to attend. If you are experiencing any issued or are unable to attend the classes, please contact Alexander Schmitt, Director of the Altum Institute.
